How Does "The Giver" End......-Spoiler Alert-

In Language Art class, we read a novel called "The Giver", it's a book about a scoiety that is different from the outside world. In this book, it started with a jet plane going to the ristricted air space. After that the government announced that the pilot will be released a guy named Jonas go through many things through out his life. He started as a 11 years old that does volunterr work for the people, he didn't know about things like feeling. Then the days goes really normal as the story continues, but until one day. They raise the ceremony of twelve, which is the job distribution. The elder gives the kids different jobs depending on the way the children act before the ceremony of twelve. Jonas had a special job, he could lie to people. This was very unique and ockward in a way. Then the elder led Jonas to a place where "the giver" lives. The giver shared his memories with Jonas, the first memory Jonas recieved was Snow. As the story continues, he finds out that his father kills kids and he could lie. Also he understand the word "release" in this community was death....When the story ends, Jonas decided to leave the community.

I thinking the ending is that he died because as sled was waiting for him. because it was the first memories that he had, so it must be that he died. Also no sled would just move around it self. Plus if the citizens come out the border, they die....So it must be that he died.

Reflections On Dr. Ramachandran's TED Talk

Basically, in this TED Talk, he talked about the parts of the brain. Like what happens if you had problem in certain areas . First of all he started talking about brain rejecting that you see your mom but your brain refuse to admit. That was because you had sexual urges toward your mom, so your brain deny the truth. After that he talk about phantom arm or leg. It basically means that you feel the pain even the arm was amputated, he had few patient that felt the pain and the patient said if the arm cluches, it won't hurt. But if the arm don't move...they feel the pain. So Ramachandran did a test, which he makes the patient close his eyes and then the patient felt the pain. But when he opens his eyes he tells that it's moving and it doesn't hurt at all. So basically he is a guy that is smart in brain knoledge.

Science Engagments-1

2 For my community comtributor...Because I helped people in Graphics class most of the time becuase all the new people don't understand how to use the program, but still I let them learn on their own sometimes. Also I started today trying not to speak Chinese, I sometimes by accident leak out a chinese word. I remind all the SRC member not to speak foregin language, in school campus.

1.5 Point for my critical think/problem solver...Because I need to ask people about the question i don't understand, and I don't use my brain. But I still help some people with computer problem, small problems.

1 for my active learner....Because I sometime don't speak at all when people are having a discussion with the class. But if i'm interested in the topic, I will speak.

1 for my person of high character...Because I sometimes don't pay attention to what teachers are saying and wandering around. But most of the time I listen to what teacher is saying, but if its boring....I don't...XD

2 Points for my effective communicator...Because I now I tried to get the message through the classmates when I'm having a presentation in L.A. or any other subject. for example today I gave a really good point that I saw in Discovery channel without confusing them.
