Did you know that old Benjamin's head was all visual effect? You don't? Then you need to see this.
In the making of the Benjamin's head, the visual effect crew solved problems and improved using scientific method.
1. Purpose: How can we make a computer generated head look like a real head?
2. Hypothesis: This is what they came up with, they figured, if they used motion capture, they would get a face of Benjamin.
3. Materials: They gathered historys of visual effect industry, and they used the secret 'stew' they developed, etc. (Too much to write.)
4. Procedures: They basically find out the history of visual effect and search for new ways of making a fake head look real. Then they follow what I worte in the hypothesis, but with extra stuff like testing out the lighting environments, etc.
5. Observation: They tested the fake head and tested to see if this is enough to green light the movie.
6. Analyze: They figured the poly was too low, and they had to make a new hypothesis. But they now know that the more poly count there are, the better the head looks.
7. Conclusion: They sucessfully made a computer generated head with Brad Pitt controlling it on his free will, they basically made a new technology of visual effect industry.

Submarine SMASH Day Reflection (Highlight To See It!!!)
1. Summarize --
-- What did we do for SMASH Day? We played various science experiments or fun cooperative activities that requires certain materials to built and test.
-- What was your mission? We had to use a periscope to see what is inside the box
-- What supplies were you given? 10 sheets of paper, cardboard, tape, 4 pieces of mirror
2. Reflect -- Scientists often make a hypothesis, test it, and then change (or modify) their design to make it work.
-- How many times did you have to modify your design? 2 Times before we get to modify
-- How did you know that you should modify your design? Because it was taking way too long to fix our old one
-- How did you know what to do when you modified it? We had a back up plan before we started making the first plan
-- How did your team communicate to decide how to modify your design? We tested the angles of the mirror and agreed on changing it to the simplest design, the fishing rod.
3. Tips and Suggestions
-- If you could give a list of tips and suggestions to someone who is doing this for the first time, what would it be? What would you tell them to help them out? I can tell them that, old fashion periscope won't work in this activity. You are REQUIRED to be creative, thats really how you can do it. You also need to think of many plans before actually start making the product.

Reflection-Energy Bar Prototype
What Worked?
I think the Dried Bananas, Dried Cranberries, Oat Meal, and Peanuts worked.
What Didn't Work?
The Melted Chocolate didn't worked as planned because it sort of turned softer, but it become sticky. So it didn't made the Oat Meal stick together as a chunk.
How will your recipe change to make it work?
I think we will find a type of chocolate that will turn into a syrup instead of some sticky chunk of chocolate.
How did your group work together? Or how did your group not work together?
I think we worked pretty well together because when we were actually making the bar, my group member helped me with things like getting stuff and all. But just one person didn't work as well, because I think I forgot to assign a job for her to do.

Whats the "rule" for all living things?
I think every living things needs to reproduce to survive, so what reproduce mean?
Equation:
Male+Female=Different Mass....
Male loses some mass
Female loses some mass
We, makes a new life, a living thing. Unlike the car, that doesn't.
A Car is not a living thing, even if you think it reproduce it self. The mass won't change, they just get some mechanical parts mixed up and stuff
Car A+Car B=Same Mass
The car stays the same, yes. The mass is different, but this doesn't mean they reproduced. They didn't create another living thing.
Another one I think living thing must have is proteins and DNA, because without these. There won't be any difference being a chunck of metal ( Car I mean). Like the car, it doesn't live off proteins and such. It's all identical to each other, there is no difference to each other. Since they were manfactured, there will be a fraud in it, but still humans can fix it.

String Theory
It's interesting because we are like a sting, and there are super large amount of strings in the universe. So if we are just a small piece, what are the other unknow pieces of string. Also if the strings make up all of the stuff. What can it make? What kind of things are the stuff that we don't know yet? This is very interesting to me.....XD...I think we should worry about environmental issues now and later is the string theory..but I like it...

Reflections On Dr. Ramachandran's TED Talk
Basically, in this TED Talk, he talked about the parts of the brain. Like what happens if you had problem in certain areas . First of all he started talking about brain rejecting that you see your mom but your brain refuse to admit. That was because you had sexual urges toward your mom, so your brain deny the truth. After that he talk about phantom arm or leg. It basically means that you feel the pain even the arm was amputated, he had few patient that felt the pain and the patient said if the arm cluches, it won't hurt. But if the arm don't move...they feel the pain. So Ramachandran did a test, which he makes the patient close his eyes and then the patient felt the pain. But when he opens his eyes he tells that it's moving and it doesn't hurt at all. So basically he is a guy that is smart in brain knoledge.

What About Science
This is the General Speaking......XD
We are doing some science works in H.I.S. We now is offically studying physics, so far we've studied about velocity, accelration, and position. Still the most interesting thing in learning physics is that we get to stud about 1 dimension and 2 dimension problems. For example we use some equations to find out about when does the ball land if it starts at 15m and fall with xxx speed. Basically, it's just fun to learn about...XD
